Highway Inn first opened in 1947, and has remained a local family business for three generations. With a recent move in the restaurant’s Waipahu location, owners Monica and Russell Ryan decided to install nearly 300 PV panels and battery storage, which covers 75% of their energy needs, even at night! With a 2-month old newborn baby girl, learn about how the decision to go solar for Monica and Russell was much more than financial.
